Joy Of Dawn

Each new day shows His grace, love, and mercy

About Me

Hello!I’m Amber Dawn Weaver. I have so many interests that even I sometimes forget some of them. I love to read books they are so inspiring for me, not only to my life but also to my writing. Another thing I love to do. Writing has been made such a part of my life that I can truly say I never regretted a moment of unit studies that Mom put me through. Well there was that extra-long study on Mesopotamia… But no, I’d even go through that all over again if it meant having my writing.

I love to draw with just about any medium I can get my hands on. I am not a big fan of watercolor, although it has grown on me. Drawing gives me a creative freedom that writing hasn’t been able to. It also allows me to illustrate what I write so I have a visual to look at.

Along with those top three I enjoy cooking, sewing, learning Html and CSS, journaling, studying, blogging, letter writing, learning to crochet, Christmas, and being around my friends. I’m sure I’ve forgot something in that list. I am also an avid spell-check user.

I’ve been a Nanny for several months now and truly enjoy it. He is such a cute kid and he has an amazing family. I’ve been blessed to be able to have the opportunity to become a part of their lives.

I graduated with the class of ’09. Most of my school years I was home-schooled by my mom. It was great and definitely beat the few years I spent in public school! It wasn’t easy but it was well worth it.I am currently twenty-one years old and still living with my parents. I have a sister and a brother who are younger than me. We live in Pennsylvania where my parents own a one-acre farm. My sister loves animals as does, I believe, my mother. We have rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys, a dog, a cat, and my pet fish. All farms must have there big garden! It has been fun! Some days I like having animals more than I do other days.

I’ve taught a creative writing class to some homeschool students. It may have been more informative to me then it was to them. :) They were great and I was glad to give them a bit of encouragment.

Oh, and there is NaNoWriMo! I try it every year now. I haven’t reached my goal yet, although it is a great challenge that a really enjoy participating in.

That about sums me up!

Joyfully Yours,

Amber Dawn Weaver

  1. Amber, I love your blog! It’s been so long since I’ve been to your house, so I’ve never seen your goats, but it was great to see pictures of them. I knew that goats were notorious for escaping, but I didn’t know about them being “finicky” about their water.

    Can’t wait to see more.

  2. Hello, Amber. Stopping by to meet all the participants in Merrilee’s workshop. I’m guessing you’re #14 in the “scavenger hunt.” :-)
