Joy Of Dawn

Each new day shows His grace, love, and mercy

About Me

I started this blog in 2009. That was the year I graduated high school. I was a very blessed individual… still am. 🙂 My parents took me out a public school after they found I was going to have to repeat my second grade year. I couldn’t read and they discouraged my mom from doing anything to help me. We had met some people who shared their experiences with us about homeschooling. I couldn’t have been a happier little girl. Sure we had some rough times. Who wouldn’t living 24/7 with their parents. 😀 However it was worth every moment of the time we had together in school. I’d never have had it any other way. 🙂
I have been extra specially blessed with the friends God has brought into my life. Many of which I’ve given nicknames to for on here, yet there are still others. The people in my life… each one of them is pretty special to me. I couldn’t imagine mot know any of them!
My favorite things… Well it is hard to pick favorites cause everything is apt to change with me. Some of the things that aren’t changing in my life are… The love I have for my Savior. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for Him. God the Creator of everything looked down and sees little me. I’m always amazed at what He does! Next would be my love for smiling. I enjoy cheering people up. Brightening their day. There is nothing quite like knowing someone’s day is going to be just a little bit sweeter. Then there is music. It would be a hard life without music. I enjoy playing the violin and guitar… one day I might just get the piano all figured out. 🙂
I have a lot of likes… Lighthouses, Snow, Writing, Drawing, Crocheting, Sewing, Cooking, Eating, Chocolate, Peppermint, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Wrapping presents… with bows, twinkling lights, Blue, Purple, Green, Silver over Gold, Movies, TV Shows, Books, Giving, Helping, Spell-check, Journaling, Letter writing, and Blogging. Just for starters. 🙂
I’ve worked as one of those people handing out samples and promoting sales. I was a nanny for a year to the most adorable little man! I was blessed to be a part of the lives of him and his family. Now I’m a house keeper with my mom. We clean houses for individuals and through the realtors. We have a lot of fun with that. 🙂
I live in Pennsylvania where my parents own a one-acre farm. My sister loves animals as does, I believe, my mother. We have rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys, a dog, and a cat, not all the time but at least for the summer. 🙂 All farms must have there big garden! It has been an fascinating! Some days I like having animals more than I do other days.
If you follow my blog post you’ll find that I often post on here while taking care of an antique shop in Mansfield, PA. We are known as the Country Trader Antiques. It is a small place that seems to keep busy enough to make most of the vendors there happy.

That about sums me up! 😀

Joyfully Yours,

Amber Dawn

  1. Amber, I love your blog! It’s been so long since I’ve been to your house, so I’ve never seen your goats, but it was great to see pictures of them. I knew that goats were notorious for escaping, but I didn’t know about them being “finicky” about their water.

    Can’t wait to see more.

  2. Hello, Amber. Stopping by to meet all the participants in Merrilee’s workshop. I’m guessing you’re #14 in the “scavenger hunt.” 🙂
